Love on Wednesday

Colorado Lady is hosting Love on Wednesdays every week in February, this being the month of love and all that. Go over to her place to see who else is sharin' the love.
Today I want to share a picture that I painted as part of my Grandson's Graduation present. To me the soft gentle kiss on the cheek has always been the symbol of true love and devotion between father and son. This little boy was his Dad's whole world and everyone that knew them or even met them could feel the bound and love between them. His Mom even admitted the bond between these 2 was too strong to fight. She has always said, that the day he was born, as soon as he heard his Dad's laugh he turned his head in his direction and stopped crying...she said she knew then she never had a chance...lol...he does love his Mom. They divorced when Keifer was 5 and she gave Ronnie full custody when he was 11. Not because she had problems with him, he was a very special young man, but because he begged to be with his Dad.
They are still close. When Keifer's Soccer team lost their State Championship last year, his Senior year. Even though his Mom was there he went straight to his Dad and cried on his shoulder. ....The shoulder he knows has always been there for him and always will be.
I painted this picture because it meant something special to them both. It hangs in Keifer's bedroom and no one is allowed to touch it. His dad wanted to put it in the living room, but Keifer said he wants to see it everynight. Then and now....
