Get her done Friday and Art work Friday...

It's almost Friday and almost the first day of the New Year 2010....doesn't it seem like just yesterday it was nearing 2000 and everyone was worried that the end of time was here. I worked with several folks who had supplies stored up because the world was going into complete shout down....that was 10 yrs ago....my how time flies...speaking of time flying can you believe it is Friday again and time for Get-R-Done Friday over at ClassyChassy, so be sure and go by and check out the other great projects and tell Classy thanks for hosting this for us.
I am also linking this to a new Meme that I found out about last week, be sure and check out D Dzines....where DeeDee is hosting Artwork Friday. She has some very nice art work to show, stop by and say hi....
Well this week to start the New Year 2010 off right I'm posting the last painting I did in the year 2oo9. Last week on get Her done Friday and Art work Friday I told about putting off painting Christmas gifts, you can read about it here...
Well I had one light left to do, and I finally finished it just in time for Kathy to unwrap Christmas eve. All 3 ladies acted like they really liked them....I hope they did....here are some pictures of the last one..ps..Kathy is a Cow lover, if you can't tell.

Canton, MS Festival of Lights

Last Tues, DH and I decided to head 65 miles north to Canton, MS to see the Festival of Lights, we went several years ago and have been wanting to go back, so this year we got a chance.
If you live anywhere close to this area, you should try to go next year it is well worth the drive. Canton is a beautiful quaint little town. Learn more about it here....
We really enjoyed the lights, the decorated window fronts and the 3 Animated figurines Museums...I really enjoyed the Buggy ride and the faces of all the children there...the wonder in their eyes was just magical. I felt like a child again myself...I am posting quite a few pictures, so you can get a feel of how beautiful it was...

I am having my Family Christmas get together to night at my house and will be going to Richland tomorrow to share the day with middle son and his family so I will be quite busy for a few days, I wanted to leave you with a post of pictures I took Tuesday night when DH and I traveled north to Canton, MS to see the show of lights, it was so pretty..you almost felt like you had slipped back in time...but blogger is not letting me post pictures..says something about using my quota of picture space, and I don't have time to delete any post so will do that later, I will leave you with one of my Favorite Christmas Songs and the light show is out standing...be sure to scroll down and turn my music off before playing
..

I JUST WANT TO WISH ALL MY BLOGGING FRIENDS

one of my favorite things

One of my favorite things to find under my tree...lol..except when she wants to open them all...is my pretty little Granddaughter Rissa...
When she and her daddy dropped by yesterday to visit us, I just had to grab my camera and take some pictures, I just love playing with Photo Bucket image program..

This is the original shot taken with nothing but Tree lights on...

she was asking what was in that box...yea like I would tell her...

and a picture of my tree...

God has blessed me with the greatest gifts of all, my 3 Sons and 4 beautiful Grandchildren..
and my Dear Hubby who puts up with me and I with him...lol...
Merry Christmas my friends, may God Bless each and everyone of you with the greatest gift of all the Gift of LOVE....
Please remember our Brave men and women who are serving to keep us free and can't be home with their loved ones this Christmas Season.
