Good Morning fellow bloggers and dear friends...It is time for Blue Monday over at Sally's house. Please visit Smiling Sally by clicking here
For my blue Monday I wanted to share a story and a picture that is precious to me...I showed you pictures of my Nativity Scene that I have set up for many many years,
I love my Nativity Scene for 2 reasons, 1. because it shows the true meaning of Christmas and 2. because it reminded me of the true love and innocence of a child. When my Baby Boy, was 4 yrs old, I had set up my Nativity Scene for Christmas as usual, and I had several little what nots that I kept setting around the room, one was a little boy of about 4-5 kneeling by a bed saying his prayers, well one morning when I came home from work the little boy was no longer by his bed, but was next to the manger in the Nativity Scene, well being the stickler for everything in it's own place that I am..I moved it back to his bed, the next morning it was back by the manger, I moved it back to it's rightful place..this went on for several days. One morning BB was awake when I came home and when I moved it back to it's bed, he picked it up put it back in the manger scene and looked up at me with those big beautiful eyes full of tears and said, "Baby Lance want to pray to Baby Jesus too". I never moved it again and now 26 yrs later it is still a part of my Nativity Scene and always will be, it is there to remind me of a child's innocent love. I am posting it on Blue Monday because the little one is wearing Blue PJs.
May you always know the joy and the True meaning of Christmas through the eyes of a Child..
Merry CHRISTmas to all of you and yours.
Very sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, innocent boy, and what a lesson! How wonderful things would be if we could all look at everything through the sweet, honest gaze of a little child.
ReplyDeleteI'm learning things every day in a new light, simply because of keeping company with a two-year-old. We sing and dance and often wear hats---sometimes potholders or napkins.
Snow is an eternal wonder; Christmas lights the magic of my own childhood, and putting together letters into words---straw into gold.
God Bless all little children, and all those who keep them in their care.
That is so precious, Molly! Oh, yes, the innocence of a child...no wonder Jesus told us to be like them! I can just imagine how you wanted to keep the little praying boy where he belonged, but isn't that just like us in real life, about so many things? And isn't it amazing how the Lord so carefully appoints situations to teach us to be flexible!
ReplyDeleteYours is the first comment I've left since last Tuesday, and will probably only visit one or two more, but if I don't get back to my computer before Christmas, may yours be filled with the love, peace, and the beauty of our precious Lord, Jesus.
God bless,
Mary
What a beautiful Christmas story! I'd leave it as part of the nativity too. You obviously taught your son well. Happy Blue Monday and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh I like that nativity scene with an innocent child kneeling to pray that makes me remind what we have to do this season, pray. Merry Christmas!
