  2. Oh no Molly! I hate to hear that! I have my husband to burn all of my pictures to a cd so I'm safe there unless someone takes my cd's. I try to upload my best pictures to my blog. I take a lot of pictures. Somewhere around 300 a month! lol I can't help it! Hello, my name is Angela and I am an addict! lol Which reminds me, I didn't take a picture today.

I'm glad you were able to recover some at least! Your pictures of those cardinals are beautiful! I love birds!

    Hugs,
    Angela

  3. Angela, I usually download my own on CDs, but I'm used to XP and they loaded completely different on Vista you have to drag and drop and it doesn't say when the disk is full. Some how when the files where still on computer when you load cd to play back it shows them all loaded, but when I deleted the file from computer and then put the disk in only 17 files out of 52 showed up. I could have cried...lol..I did cry.
I also take tons of pictures each week. Some can never be replaced....

  4. Oh Molly - I am so sorry. I asked Rick when he backs up our computer - are our pictures on it - because you had said last week you had lost some pictures.

That is something that having the old hard copy photos were good for.

I'm sorry. Loved your pictures of the birds though.

  6. Sorry to hear about all you lost. It should serve as a warning to the rest of us who have all our photos and stuff stored on our computers - it could easily happen to us as well!

  7. Oh dear Molly, I understand the loss...I had all my holiday photo's disappear once...don't even know how and there were some wonderful shots of my dad...the last photos taken before his passing. It still makes me feel sick in the tum when I think about it.
I hope the RED birds help cheer your REDnesday as they have mine.
    Warmest hugs,

  8. I'm so sorry that happened to you. A real nightmare come true. Would you ever consider using an external hard drive? My husband got one for me, and every few weeks I upload all of my picture to it. Someone once told me that my daughter's generation was going to end up with no pictures in their old age, because they're all on the comuter. I believe them now.
Lovely pictures though of the red birds. I would love to get some good shots of the birds at my feeders one day!
    Happy REDnesday,
    Carol

  13. Oh...I am so sorry about the photos. I am going to save mine to a disc now. I don't want to have to cry those same tears... :-( Lvoe your photos of the Redbirds. They are just hands down one of my favorites to watch at the feeders. I love it when a family of them comes and the larger birds will feed the smaller babies as they sit and ruffle their feathers for more!! I also hear they pair off for life. Sweet! Thanks for sharing.

  14. This seems to be happening to so many lately. Nothing is safe on a computer they tell me. I trust this does not happen to me, but it can happen to anyone at anytime. You and Coloradolady should get together as she is going through a bad time of loosing all her family photos last week because of a virus.

  15. Oh Molly.. So sorry to hear that pictures were lost like this, but glad you could get back some of them at least. I absolutely love the birds, and feeding them!! These pictures of cardinals are very sweet! I miss the birds from my old home, and wish I could have left them a forwarding address!!.. but who knows.. Maybe they'll find their way here someday, along with some new little feathered friends to find what seed or breadcrumbs I have for them! (0; It's possible! Happy Rednesday! ~tina

  16. Molly, you have my sympathies! Been there, done that! For what it's worth...I lost 99.9% of my photos. I'm talking years of photos that I was too dang dumb to put onto backup. *sigh*

The collage is adorable. Love those darling cardinals!

    Cheers!
