Worship and Praise Sunday

Britney at http://givingandreceivingsweetnothings.blogspot.com/ was sweet enough to sponsor Praise and Worship Sunday...
One of my favorite songs of Worship is The Southern gospel song Sweet Beulah Land, written and composed by Squire Parson in 1973
The first time I ever heard this song was at my SIL Father's Funeral and I just feel in love with it, the words hold such a sweet promise....
Be sure and scroll down and turn of my player so you can llisten to this beautiful song..

SWEET BEULAH LAND
Music and words by Squire E. Parsons, Jr., 1979
Verse 1:I'm kind of homesick for a country To which I've never been before; No sad goodbyes will ever be spoken, And time won't matter any more.
Chorus:Beulah land ... I'm longing for you, And, some day, on thee I'll stand; There my home shall be eternal. Beulah land ... sweet Beulah land.
Verse 2:I'm looking now across the river Where my faith will end in sight; There's just a few more days to labor, And then I'll take my heavenly flight.
Chorus:Beulah land ... I'm longing for you, And, some day, on thee I'll stand; There my home shall be eternal. Beulah land ... sweet Beulah land.

  5. I also love this song. Some of the best song are the ones we remember from the old country churches. I also love the video, what great pictures. I like the part:
I'm kind of homesick for a country To which I've never been before; And time won't matter any more.
Being a homebody and a schedule person these parts hit home.
Thanks for the inspirational post. Have a blessed Sunday!

  6. This will always be a favorite of mine. I bought a CD of Gaither Vocal Band years ago and this song is on it. Their rendition of it is my favorite because the harmonies are absolutely awesome! Thanks for reminding me of this great song today. :)
