Well look a here it's Thurs. again, boy I've been half in and half out all week...can't believe it is already Thursday, and that means it's time for vintage Thurs at Colorado Lady's place...
Today the first item I have is a small Aluminum rose color 1 cup teapot. This belonged to my Mom, Mom had this for as long as I can remember, probably since the early 50s, and sits on a shelf beside my sink. The one next to it is one just like it I found at a Thrift Store about a year ago in Natchez, MS. for 2.00. This one is gold color and has the tea basket, where Mom's was lost years ago.

Next I have some more dishes from DH Aunt's house that I was told no one wanted, Well I sure did...
Any how the first is a cute little 6 cup teapot which is just perfect for Easter, it is shaped like a head of lettuce and has cute little Bunnies eating carrots on the front and a little Bunny for the knob on top.
Isn't this just too cute. No way was it going to the dump....
Next is pretty white 6 cup Tea Pot with a Single pink rose on the front and a stem for the handle. Also has a little pink rose bud for the top knob.

Another treasure NOT going to the dump...
Last but not least is the one I think is just lovely, so glad no one wanted this one. It has English Tea Pot Co. on the bottom and small multi color roses or flowers all over it. With gold trim. These are all sitting on top of my cabinets with my Hall's Tea Pots. My 2 Grands are already arguing over who will get them when Granny Dies...lol..hopefully not for along time.

Molly, those are gorgeous! I truly love seeing your vintage items!
ReplyDeleteAll so pretty Molly, and what an interesting rose color on the aluminum teapot :)
ReplyDeleteMolly, love the aluminum teapots. I have never seen them before. They remind me of the aluminum glasses my mother had. The pink one is my color. You have rescued quite a few cute ones too.
ReplyDeleteYour collection of teapots is just wonderful. I think I'll go have a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteOh what treasures!!!! Love the cabbage one with the bunnies and the one with the sweet rosebud on top!!!! Thanks for coming by and I hope you are having a great week!
ReplyDeleteI can't pick a favorite. No way. I love how you have them arranged on the shelves. What a charming display! If those are the sorts of things that get thrown away over there, I'm heading for your dump in the pickup!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vintage post. I love tea pots but needless to say I do not have a one.I look when I go to the thrift stores but so far no luck. Thanks for sharing yours. This is my first time to visit. You have a very warm and friendly blog.

ReplyDeleteI CAN believe no one wanted them, only because that's how so many of us get out vintage treasures!
ReplyDeleteHi, I like the rose one best. It's very unique. I couldn't let anything that pretty go to the dump!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it astound you that no one else in the family wants these things? Amazing, but as I said on my VTT,"their loss is my gain"!
ReplyDeleteThe teapots are treasures & how wonderful you already have gr'chn who will treasure them after you.
You got pretty teapots.. and if you don't mind we girls feel like having tea.. can we boil water in one of your kettle? hehehehe we think tea would taste better in aluminum rose kettle.. hehehehe *just kidding*.. seriously you got pretty teapots! Happy VTT..
ReplyDeleteI love teapots! The last one is so dainty looking and the rabbit/cabbage one is so cute!

ReplyDeleteThe teapots are charming. Glad you were there to rescue them. The dump was not place for such beauties!
ReplyDeleteIt just makes my heart ache to think of all the wonderful things just thrown away. Love your teapots. I like how you sneaked Hall in their without posting about it. =)
ReplyDeleteWonderful teapots! The bunnies are adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat darling tea pots (Love you kitchen window shelves), I found a little tea pot like your metal one for a 1.00 at Goodwell, perfect for boiling a little water, that insert would be something neat to have:)
ReplyDeleteThese are so great! I have this horrible luck with teapots. Everyone I buy breaks. I'm actually without one right now except for the one on my stove. So what I'm trying to say is that I'm jealous of your beautiful collection! Love Love LOVE the bunnies...but they would surely meet their end in my hands ;)
ReplyDeleteStephanie
What pretty teapots! I have never seen a metal TEA pot before. Lovely collection.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome ! Thanks for sharing Paula from Idaho
ReplyDeletevery pretty collection. my sister collects teapots and always ask me if i find any in my garage sale shopping. i do pick her up 1 now and then.
ReplyDeleteI love love love that lettuce tea pot! :)
ReplyDeleteHow could anyone look those teapots in the face and tell them they were going to the dump?!?!?!? So glad you were there to save them!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful teapots! Love the bunny teapot but the rose and gold aluminum ones are my favorites: so simple and lovely.
ReplyDeletei've got those little aluminium teapots too!!..i love the one with the rose on it and a rosebud on the lid..ssoo sweet :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection! You and I share a teapot - the one with the pink rose - mine came with a flower bouquet many, many years ago. Mine is packed away in a box right now as I do not have a safe place to put it. I have been wanting to find a tall narrow cabinet to put in my bedroom to put teapots and cups in. I miss them and it seems senseless to put them in a box. ~Kelly
