Blue Monday...odds 'n' ends

It's time again for Blue Monday over at Smiling Sally's. Thank you Sally for giving us this chance to show our special blues....Can't wait to see all the pretty blue items that our friends have to show.
This is a Cross stitch and a crochet picture I have hanging on my living room wall. The bottom one was given to me as a gift from a friend I worked with about 15 yrs ago. And the top was made for me by my middle DIL for Christmas this year. She decided she was going to try and give all homemade gifts this year and I just love it, it goes just perfect with the first one. I think they make a nice arrangement.

This is a little pot, that I found at a little Flea Market, several years ago in Hammond. La. the lady who owned the shop said it was a little butter pot. The spout has been broken and repaired with a kind of rubber band. I really thought it was cute and unusual, and the price couldn't be beat, $.25. But what really clenched the deal was, she was going to throw it away if it didn't sale that week. Welll, now I sure couldn't let that happen, lol..my house is the land of misfit china....It sure appreciated me bringing it home...
This last is a little mini chicken pot my DIL's Mom gave me on her last visit to Mississippi, she had been to her Brother's in Maine and ound it at a little shop and brought it to me.
That is my Blue Monday offerings. I hope you enjoyed them. Please leave comments, I love to hear what everyone thinks, even if it's bad. For more Blue Monday Posts please visit Smiling Sally by clicking here.

  3. The butter pot is adorable and, well almost everyone knows how I feel about chickens of any sort or color! But, that hand-crafted initial you DIL gave you is my fav! I love hand made items. The thoughtfulness and love it takes to do something of that nature just blesses me!

    Many hugs..................

  11. Thanks for showing the butter pot. I've never seen one. The pot and crocheted pieces are very pretty. I think I need to call the rooster handsome so I don't offend him. ;)
