2d Time around Tuesday

First let me say I missed posting Monday because my Internet service was messed up, I waited all day for a repairman from AT&T to come out and fix it, he made it at 4:30...auggggg....Hope things slow down some next week but this week is scheduled none stop. I am going to Jackson Weds to met Montee from http://monteewellman.blogspot.com/ and watch my Grandson tryout for the Braves, Montee's Hubby is the manager of the MS Braves and they are holding a tryout camp Weds. so I get 2 treats, one to met a fellow blogger that I enjoy visiting with on line....and second to watch my sweet GS do what he loves, play ball. It will be a great experience for him even if he doesn't make it....
Also it is time for 2nd Time Around Tuesday, hosted by Diane @ A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words. be sure to drop by Daine's blog and check out the other 2 time around items.........
For my Second time around item I have chosen a lamp that DH helped me make from an old lamp, lamp shade and votive candle holder...ugly shade isn't it?
This lamp shade and lamp works came from an old jar lamp that I bought 16 yrs ago at the Canton Flea Market, shade is in picture above with the chicken I had planned to use as base, well it just wouldn't work....so...I looked around the house and found this whimsical little chicken votive candle holder and the rest is history. I used some of the fabric from my new bed room curtains and covered the shade to match the room. It went from the above picture to this...

DH drilled the hole through the Chicken for me and I put it all together. I have to get some moss or straw to put in the little hole in her tummy and then I will add some tiny eggs in it. I just love the whimsical and funny look of it and it only cost 1.79 for the spray adhesive....everything else was saved from other items....

This is my Second time around offering, I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy using it.

  1. I love how that came out! How handy of your husbandto have a drill bit that would work on ceramic but not break it!

Good luck to your grandson in his tryouts! Go Redman Go.
