Brookhaven Baseball City Champs I think I mentioned last week that Redman played ball Tuesday night for the city Championship....
In Brookhaven like most towns we have so many little 10-12 year old boys sign up to play Little League that we have to have 2 Leagues to accommodate all of them. We have 10 teams in the American League and 10 in the National Leauge...we have by the end of Summer the American Leuage Champs and the National Leauge Champs...so they play against each other to see who will be City Champs, now I'm here to tell you THHC was not the American Leauge Champs, but we wound up playing against the National League Champs and boy were the NL cocky cause they were playing the # 4 team, since the other teams had all been eliminated....they had this City Championship tied up, winning was going to be a piece of cake....

Well this picture goes to show don't count your chicks before the eggs hatch...Hoo-Ray the #4 American Leauge team wiped the field with the #1 National Leauge team....Go Team Go...Redman is the little feller on the first row on the right end.
I hope you enjoyed my favorite picture for today...lol...I just love the look of pride these little boys have.

ReplyDeleteSweet story before heading off to bed. My boys played a long time ago, and we were always so proud of them no matter what.
