This week I'm highlighting a small portion of my living room wall, it is on the long hall wall that extents into the living room and is kind of hard to decorate...because that is the only wall in the living room that can hold the old dresser that belonged to my Grandfather Moxie, it is a treasure I consider part of the wall hanging. There is a long narrow stripe of wall that needed something special...so......
For Christmas this past year I painted each of my boys and their wives a portrait of their little ones and for Keifer's Graduation I painted him a picture of himself and his Dad when he was about 2 yrs old. So I had prints made of each one, had them framed and matted and I placed them in a long plate rack and it just fit perfect. DH keeps telling me he is going to remove the space heater since we no longer need it, we had air and heat installed 9 yrs ago. But he keeps putting it off. He keeps say but what if we have another ice storm and loss power, what are we going to heat the house with? He does have a point......
These are the portraits of Keifer and Rissa and then Keifer and his Daddy on the bottom
The one on top is of Redman and Mo-Mo
On the right of the dresser is a collage of all 3 boys wedding pictures, but that is for another post.
Hope you enjoyed my first atempt at what's on your wall.
Wow you're an amazing artist. I've been working on a painting for a while. A little bit at a time. Maybe one day I'll post it on What's on Your Wall-Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI think that is a very special trio of paintings on your wall and certainly worth sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat's on my wall? Mainly kitty-cat paw prints!!!
Nice portraits - they won't let me click on them to see the art work better, however! Looks good from far away, anyhow.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see! Artwork of your family is special and even more so since you created it yourself :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, becoming a follower, and posting a link from yours to mine! I have all your entries entered. (still learning more about blogging and getting my Etsy site complete! Oh, to be more computer savvy!)
Your grandkids are so cute...can't wait until we have some!
Hi Molly, How sweet that your were able to capture your family members in your artwork. They' be a lasting treasure to enjoy for years to come. Your blog header artwork is adorable, btw. :-) Sue
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the artist. Beautiful work and I enjoyed you WOYWW post.

Great paintings & first WOYWW post. In regards to the wall heater, tell hubby that looks trumps comfort. Just throw on a bunch of blankets if worse case scenario happens (but then I live in southern California so what do I know about cold). lol.
ReplyDeleteYour site is so adorable. Your Christmas gifts to your family are such treasures, Such a beautiful family - your picture slideshows are great. You are a very creative and talented person.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect family wall .. I have seen these projects, but not hung in the house ... just WONDERFUL!
