The Simple Woman's Day Book

I am once again joining in on the Simple Woman's Day Book, check out the other ladies here....

FOR TODAY
Outside my window...it is COLD very cold as it has been for several days, the Squirrels and blue Jays are fighting for the acorns under the oak tree outside my bedroom window….

I am thinking ..of all the wonders of nature and how God provides for us all…we have had an abundance of acorns this year, the likes I’ve never seen in my 41 yrs in this house.

I am thankful …..for my warm home and my heaters and central air…I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and pray for those less fortunate.

From the kitchen...hot coffee and cold cereal, I’m just glad DH is fixing it this morning, as I’m still not feel up to pare.
Supper I plan on making a stew that I found on Colorado lady’s blog. For me whatever box I grab from the Nutrasystems shelf and a big green salad..

I am wearing…Green Tinker Belle fleece P.J.s with lime green fuzzy sock.

I am going…to try and rest as much as possible today, and hopeful get over this crud soon.

I am creating... When I feel like it, hand painted note cards for my long neglected Etsy store. Also making new folders in my pictures and organizing newly scanned pictures.

I am reading...Beth Moore’s study of Daniel.

I am hearing...the heating system kicking off and on, and the first sounds of traffic going by my house, the CC opened for school this morning after Christmas break.

Around the house...need to wash a few clothes and make up the beds, but thinking that can wait till tomorrow. Need to get warm and sleep right now.

One of my favorite things...listening to the water bubbling in my fish tank, almost like a slow flowing water fall. So peaceful and relaxing.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Monday…rest and take care of this crud.….

Tuesday…do a little house work, house pretty clean since deep cleaning after taking down Christmas decorations.

Weds….do what every I feel up to, and hope I can go to Bible Study we haven’t met since the middle of Dec to study and I am looking forward to the deep study of Daniel and Revelations…

Thurs…Go get my hair fix, missed my appointment last week because of the crud, but really really need to go this week, I’m even scaring ChiChi I look so bad…lol…

Fri. …paint on my cards a little and just what ever needs doing..drawing for my give away tonight....

Sat…haven’t really planned that far ahead right now.

Sunday Church and hopefully a day of rest…..

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Squirrels everywhere enjoying the abundance of food.

  1. Molly,

I keep trying to post, and seem to have succeeded at last!! I love the pictures of your yard---ours still has about four inches of snow on it, and the little creatures have a hard time. They're getting the last of the leftover Christmas cake and getting-stale nuts, and everything cleared out of the cereal cupboard.

Rest and feel better---stay warm and be well.
