OK, it is Thursday again and we all know what that means,...what's that?..yes, that's right! It's Vintage Thingie Thursday over at Colorado Lady's place...don't forget to go by and tell Suzanne how much you appreciate her sponsoring it for us...
Today I wanted to show you a couple of little Angels I found packed away when I put up my Christmas decorations. I decided to take my time and go through all the boxes of ornies and decorations that I haven't used in years and get rid of some of my older stuff...ok, didn't work, I couldn't part with any of them, just repacked them neater and organized a little better...I was surprised how much spaced I saved doing this and next year I will know what is in each box...but I digress ...while going through a small plastic container I found 2 adorable little Angel Bells..one has February on her dress and she's holding a red heart... isn't she so sweet...DH gave her to me for Valentine's Day in, I believe 1978, right after I went to work at Packard.....I was collecting Bell's back then.....
This little Angel still has her wings.
The next one has October on her dress and she is holding a pumpkin..DH helped the boys buy it for my Birthday which is in Oct. Somewhere during the years she has lost her wings.. When I showed DH and said, "awww she's lost her wings, she's no longer an Angel"...he laughed and said, "kinda like you"...I'm still debating if it's safe for him to go to sleep tonight...lol...
Well that's my treasures for this week, hope you enjoyed them,

Please stay warm and safe during this fridget weather. There has already been 2 people lost their life to the cold, in Jackson in the last 24 yrs.
I am so thankful for my family and their unconditional love.

ReplyDeleteMajorie,
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable little figures! I always think the memories that join with the piece are as wonderful as the piece its self! Yours are super sweet! Tell your hubby that your angel gave you her wings!... Dee Dee
Love your little angel bells. I have seen them before, but it has been awhile. My sister lives in Hernando, MS so she is getting bad weather too. Take care and stay warm.

awww they're adorable..with or without wings :)
ReplyDeleteI know I need to go through boxes of old decorations-I am planning to do just that in the fall & invite the kids to take their favorites & give the rest away! But like you, I am not so sure I can part with them....
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet and adorable! Oh my... Thanks for sharing :) Happy VTT!
ReplyDeleteSo delightful little angels and the one the lost her wings are cute anyway.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful little angels. I'm sad that the one lost her wings. I think I would make her some new ones!
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT! Super cute angels (wings don't matter, the heart does!)
ReplyDeleteLOL....Did you tell DH, your wings may have fallen off but he still had his horns?
ReplyDeletelove them
ReplyDeleteYour angels are so lovely! The February one looks just like one that I hope to win on Ebay!
ReplyDeleteYou're so smart to go through your Christmas decorations and try to get rid of things you don't use. That's what I should have done, but there was so much to put away that I wanted to just be done with it. Maybe next year!
Happy VTT!

I feel so bad for the homeless in this cold. At least Lubbock, the big city up the road, is trying to round them up and make sure they aren't freezing...
ReplyDeleteI just don't know about that angel remark by your hubby...he likes to live dangerously, I guess...
Those are sweet little angels. What a pleasant surprise to find them this year when you went through your Christmas decorations.
