It's time for 2 of my favorite Memes,,,,,Shadow shot Sunday over at Hey Harriet's. and Scenic Sunday
My shot today was taken Weds when DH and I went rambling down Country roads. The shadow shot was of a marker set back in the woods at an old faimly Cemetery. I so enjoy wondering through older Cemeteries and wondering what these people where like when they where alive in a different time than we live in now. I wonder what they would think of the world that we know but would be so strange to them. Where they happy, did they raise a family? How heart broken of of the parents must have been when they buries their little ones here. So many children in this cemetery of the 1800s and early 1900s.The little Country Church sits on Barlow Road across from the Cemetery
I hope you all have a good Sunday and Labor Day Monday..I hope you enjoy your day with friends and family.
Happy Labor day Molly! sandie
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Molly! How are you? BTW, if you are ever in Natchez, come visit my shop downtown at the corner of Franklin and Rankin inside the Marketplace. I have a room inside the store called Christine's Corner....Christine

We lived in NC for a year and I noticed so many of the cemeteries were right by, or in back of, the small churches.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, Molly! My husband and I often spend time in graveyards, pondering the past and tidying up the gravestones of people who no longer get many visitors. It serves to slow down our busy lives and allows us to reflect upon the present as well as the past...
ReplyDeleteThese are both lovely shots taken in the cemetery. Especially the first of the gravestone! I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day and enjoy the rest of the week ahead :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous church!
