Last week I talked about and showed you some pictures of my hunting buddies...you can see that post here. This week I must talk about the Princess of Smith Hill..lol..oh yes she thinks she is a Princess and all her subjects must bow to her, including me. DH is not a, "in house dog person", but for the first time in our 48 yr marriage he lets a little lady rule him, in his house...her name is Chi-Chi...she weighs 11 lbs. she is a brassy little thing, she is a tough little thing, she fought a large car when she was 21/2 yrs old and she survived. A miracle in itself, you can read about that here...
Of course you'd never catch the Princess out hunting, she is too prim for such nonsense...she will make her daily tour of her subjects, but it is not with nose to the ground, like a common hunting dog. Oh no, it is with head held high and tail straight up in the air..
She makes a circle around the pasture, checks out all the cows and the other animals, runs a few squirrels up a tree to show them she's still boss
and then heads back to her throne.... She is such a snob, doesn't want Levi or Katie near her and makes that very clear when she sets foot out the back door. If they make the mistake of getting to close she reminds them with a very loud (for a little girl) growl.Levi has learned to stay away from her. After getting his nose nipped several times...and Katie doesn't hang around.
Well that is the boss of the hill. Hope you have a great day, must run to see what her Highness is barking at, or should I say see what she is wanting me to do.

What a small world. My great grandson that I featured today has a dog named Levi. You picked the right day to share both of yours. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteHey Molly!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Chi Chi sure is a little Princess! Those little girls sure do know how to rule the roost!

Oh I can tell you love your little princess! So cute and a great little companion. I have 3 dogs myself and I love them so much! You have a very interesting blog and I like reading your stories, such as the one about growing up hungry in N.O. Thanks for sharing and I just signed up to be a follower.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Chi Chi is such a cutie. Yes, they own us and we must obey them.....
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteMy mom had a dog like that, her name was Gidget. My dad brought her home in a pocket of his hunting coat. Great pictures and story. Have a great day!

Please give my kindest regards to Her Highness, Chi Chi, Queen of Mississippi and Thereabouts, from a loyal Texas subject...
ReplyDeleteOh I like a girl who knows what she wants!! Go Chi-Chi ~ such royalty! ♥
ReplyDeleteI have known many Chi's and they ALL think they are the Queen of the Hive! They are just too cute, too. I've always had Chihuahua/Doxie mixes until we got our first Corgi, and that's what we probably will have from now on.
ReplyDeleteMy Show and Tail was about one of my son's little Chihuahua Doxie mixes named Weasel.
