I wanted to post a Devotion my Niece wrote this week, she has a Ministry called about the Masters Business
and sends out a daily devotion..called Coffee Break this post really hit home with the way the world is today
"Sunshine Suddenly"
"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm." Mark 4:39
When I got out of my vehicle to go into the recovery center yesterday, it was raining, the clouds were very grey and it was stormy. An hour later when I started to leave, the rain had stopped, the clouds had rolled away and the sun was shining brightly. How amazing, the day looked totally different than it had only a short while ago. As I noticed the transformation, the thought came to mind that our lives are often like this. We can be in the midst of a "storm" one minute than have "sunshine" the next.
The day itself was a beautiful reminder to me that the storms of life don't last forever. They do come to an end, and they can come "suddenly" like the physical weather changed yesterday. I thought the weather had set in and it was going to be like that all day, but it wasn't. Often when we look at our storms, especially if we have been in them any length of time, we begin to feel as if they will never stop or let up. But I have good news for you-- they don't last forever and they can cease when you least expect it.
The other good news is that Jesus is with you in the storm. More good news- Jesus still speaks to the storms and they have to obey. He still knows how to turn the situation. He can still change storms into sunshine. Don't be discouraged or fearful, don't lose hope or faith there is always sunshine after the storm.
Have a great day. It may be stormy now, but sunshine can come suddenly.
