It's Vintage Thingie Thursday over at Colorado Lady's place...don't forget to go by and tell Suzanne how much you appreciate her sponsoring it for us...
I think some of the items in my new collection can qualify for Vintage,
When we went to Louisiana a couple of weeks ago, I found several items that just seemed to fit together in a collection..the first was this individual coffee maker, it is made out of ceramic and has Melitta written on the front, when I bought it I wasn't sure what I'd do with it, but when our lights went out Sunday,
I figured out real quick, that it made a mean cup of coffee if you couldn't use your electric pot...
The next item is a Glass Maxwell House coffee jar, I don't know if this is very old or not, but I liked the
The writing on it and thought it would be perfect to store my coffee in...
the next item was a coffee measure, I won't be using it, but thought it would look good in the arrangement..
it reads "ABOVE ALL OTHERS" National Crest Coffee
coffee CASWELL Measure, is written in the spoon...
and you know I couldn't pass up this cute little gingerman cookie cutter....
The last item, I know doesn't relate to coffee, but I just couldn't pass it up, so I decided to use it to hold my coffee filters..it is an old metal ice box meat drawer...it says meat on the front...
I put them all together and set them next to my coffee pot, I just loved all of these little items..and all together they cost $7.50, not a bad price for such a cute collection..everything old is new again...
Hope you have a great Thursday and be sure to visit the other blogs and check out VTT and TT...
Molly, I loved seeing your new treasures, and especially enjoyed listening to "Sweet Beulah Land" while I looked at them.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a glorious Holy Week.
My favorite is the coffee measure.
ReplyDeleteMolly,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this sweet vignette this morning! I love little tableaux like this in an unexpected place, especially in the kitchen.
I just finished my First Cup, and the day awaits. I have a feeling you'll soon be smelling the nice vinegar tang of egg dye from all the way up here. Now where did I put those fuzzy bunny ears last year?
Okay - so next time your lights are off, you're still going to have a cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteNice items and great price Molly.
Hoppy Easter.
