I'm linking this post to "Friday Finding Beauty" event on Claudia's blog Dipity Road. Today all the participating blogs can post whatever they like on their blog that touched them in some way and made them feel, see, or appreciate a moment of beauty in their lives.
I believe beauty is anything that makes you smile or warms your heart.
Yesterday I took time off from taking Hubby or Me to the Dr, working in my yard or running kids to Ballgames and Dance and just took my camera in hand and walked around my yard, for there is were my simple beauty lies...I love the late evening light and how it plays across the yard and trees...but then I also love the early morning sunrises...God's world is an amazing place...all you have to do is open your eyes to see the beauty.
I love the way the evening sun reflects off ChiChi's coat...
Evening sun on the new peaches on my tree
Beautiful sunset love how the light plays across the yard
Evening light on my pear tree
sunset from my back yard looking down the driveway
My new crop of blueberries..hummm can't wait
new pears forming with blooms still attached...
When the sun rises the squirrels come out to play...
the early morning sun playing off of the side flower beds..
sunrise on my La. iris
God's wonders are amazing..my old Maids bathed in the glow of the morning sun
While walking around the yard I found a new nest..
See it up high in the Oak tree..my front yard bathed in morning light...
I discovered a new bloom on an old Rose that hasn't bloomed in years was ready to cut it down..how wonderful..
my Magnolia Forstata bush is in full bloom...
the sweet blooms smell like bananas
Hope you enjoyed your stroll around my yard..this is pure beauty to me, hope you found something here that was beautiful to you.
You have THE most beautiful yard - I love the space and the light.
ReplyDeleteAll of your plants and trees look like mine do at the end of July! I'm serious - I cannot believe you have peaches growing already!
It is still Thursday here and I am commenting on your Friday post - Cool!
Have a Super day!
Very nice tour of your yard! We are finally starting to green up in our woods - tiny little leaves are starting to burst out at last!

Molly,
ReplyDeleteI love the strolls about your yard, with the changes and all the work you're doing. The one red bud on the forgotten rose---what a lovely symbol of hope and perseverance! That's a wonderful lesson that things unseen, things given up on---THEY know they're there, and we're so grateful and surprised when we see them peeking out.
Thank you for so graciously sharing "where your simple beauty lies."

We have a lot of the same things budding/blooming/growing right now.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Well Ms. Molly, I can tell we were thinking alike today! :) You most definitely have taken the time to enjoy God's simple but beautiful creations and to be thankful for them! Your flowers and all your pics are beautiful! Enjoy all that beauty around you!

It's so true Molly. All we have to do is open our eyes to see what God has put before us. There are great riches to be found in just being able to see the paint brush of God's hands that is all around in our own yards! You sure are blessed with a lot of beautiful flowers and critters in your yard! I love the picture of ChiChi!
