Vintage Thingie Thursday

It's that time again, you know what time I mean, it's time to show some more of our vintage items, And today I have a few more of the items I bought at the Longest Yard sale, all of them are vintage some just show more vintage wear than the others...lol...
The first item is a silver plated water pitcher it was pretty dirty but I polished it up and put it with the tray I found on my trip to Natchez with Sis and Marissa.
Next is a serving fork that matches my Momma set of silverware, I have looked on line and on Ebay for replacement peices and this fork sells for 17.95 at the cheapest place, so you can imagine how my heart was beating when I found it in a large jar of different silverware and it was marked $1.00.... oh happy dance time again...
next is a 4 piece set of tin canisters, they are stacked inside of the big one and 2 tin cans, I plan to paint these with roosters if I ever get back to painting...
Next are 2 pictures of a slop jar or chamber pot or pee pot which ever you want to call them both have lids and both look totally different but were used for the same purpose...to keep you from having to go out in the cold and freeze your buns off.
The one with the red trim is my favorite, I love the shape of the lid.
Next are 3 metal pots a teapot, coffee pot and tall water pitcher..these too will be painted one day.
this is a pitcher of some kind with no lid. I like the design of this...
This is a set of wooden canisters and the salt and pepper shakers to go with them also a ceramic dark brown pitcher.

This is few more of my Flea Market finds.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY VINTAGE THINGIES! SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!

  3. did you say paint...I couldn't do it. Really, all the bloggers that paint everything have way more energy than me. I love to just leave it the way I found it usually. Your finds are terrific...all of them. I would just love to go to the longest yard. Girl, you'd love all the stuff in MIL's home.

  16. WELL,what's not to like?! I have chamber pots but have not seen anything like the red with a lip. Cool. Wooden canisters are so hard to clean. The tins are neat. Maybe if I 'could' paint I wouldn't consider it sacrilege to cover up all that vintage decor. BUT I love roosters so hope you show the after shot! Happy VVT
