Outside my window...It’s a beautiful sunshine day, the temp is 70 degrees and earlier there was a chill in the air, just ever so light, but it smelled of fall. It is a typical Monday Morning, kids are rushing to get to class on time….cars are whizzing by.
I am thinking...Why do they wait to the last minute to rush to school, wouldn’t live be much simpler if they would just leave 5 minutes earlier.
I am thankful …..for the quite weekend spent with DH, I am thankful for the memories and pictures of my loved ones who are now gone, I am thankful for the time God allowed me to spend with them.
From the kitchen...for breakfast it’s hot coffee, and pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. Supper will be grilled chicken breast sandwiches with fresh tomatoes and lettuce salad.
I am wearing…white shorts, pink T
I am going…to start getting my paint room back in order and move all the junk to storage in the attic. I need to start painting for Christmas
I am creating...my memories & old photos in an album to have printed for my sons for their Christmas gift.
I am reading...Still The Book of Daniel, what a great and complicated book.
I am hearing...DH softly snoring, he didn‘t sleep well last night and I can tell by his breathing his is finally resting. All else is quite, except the cars on the highway and that will quite down around 8:05 when the last kid makes it to class.….
Around the house...clothes needs washing and outside of windows need pressure washing….
One of my favorite things...looking through old pictures and visiting with old friends who are no longer with me in body, but always in spirit.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Monday…Go to Wally World, buy groceries, ( do you notice a trend here) get started on pressure washing….
Tuesday…continue with cleaning yard for big Labor Day BBQ also will be Birthday party for 2 youngest sons and DH.
Weds….Bible study we are studying the book of Daniel
Thurs…No real plans except to rest..
Fri.. hopefully will met an old friend for lunch, if all works out.
Sat. start getting things ready for the BBQ, DH makes a mean smoked pork shoulder but it takes 2 days to do it.
Sunday …go to Church
Here is picture thought I am sharing...front row, from left to right...Dean's son Randy, my 2 Ronnie holding Lance and Jim's only son Marcus, back row is Dean's D Lorraine, Jim's Daughter Sara Leanne, then Lisa, deans Daughter and My Chuck...Momma who have been so proud of these kids....
This is a picture of all my Momma's Grands together, made in the early 80's.....it is the first time my or Dean's children met Jim's family, he traveled alot and for along time we didn't know where he was. He came back to Brookhaven looking for his family after 20 yrs away.
Hey Molly,
ReplyDeleteLove your new background and pic. Breakfast sounded great as I'm sure it was. All I had was coffee and a bagel. Not much excitement there.
Have a great day!

Hi Molly!
ReplyDeleteYour Labor Day BBQ sounds like it's going to be fun! We used to do a Labor Day Church/Family/Friends/Customers BBQ a few years back....DH and friends would sit up with the hog on the smoker nearly all night long...then we'd get up EARLY and pull the meat off the bone and have it ready when everyone started flooding in....it was generally about 200 or so people...
We fixed up a huge "circus" type tent to have chairs and tables in the shade, and to have a place for the "live" gospel singing, there'd be kids running everywhere, horse drawn wagon rides, baseball out in the pasture field, volleyball, and just whatever anyone could think of to do!! Looking back it was alot of fun....and ALOT of work...but very humid and just "sticky" hot!!!
Could you come and wash my windows whaen you're done with yours? Please? lol!
Our Wed. night Bible study has been in Revelation....another hard one of sorts...
Have a good rest of the week!

The book of Daniel is a good one to study.
ReplyDeleteHi Molly, wanted to thank you for your comment on my gun post. Out of all the comments, yours shook me to my core. I'm so sorry you had to go through that 4 times, I can't imagine, and thank God your kids DIDN'T come home early that day!!!!! I cannot believe the rate that crime is spreading these days, even the tiny town I live by, drugs have found their way here and it has such a negative effect on the whole community! I guess with less and less state funding for localities to do anything it can only get worse too! ((BIG HUGS)) to you for all you've been through and thanks again for your input!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of my cousins and us. We all look like happy kids. Thanks aunt margie!!!XOX
