Vintage Thingie Thursday

Oh goodness, I've been gone so long, it's hard to get back in the swing...
It's Thursday already and that means it's time for Vintage Thingie Thursday over at Colorado Lady's place.
You all know I just got back from the longest yard sale, well it was a disappointment in a way, but I did find a few peices of my Halls. so today I just have to show them to you.
The first piece is a Westinghouse Refrigerator Water pot made by Halls. Isn't she a beauty. She is in perfect condition, no chips, cracks or even wear. They were asking $50. for it but I talked them down to $40.00 wouldn't go any lower but I know it's worth more, so I paid it.
This is a picture of 4 Hall's items.... 2 cream pitchers that match my Autumn Left pattern. I found these 2 at different places and both cost about the same.
The large pepper shaker also matches my dishes and they were asking $7.00 but I got it for $5.00 paid 2 times that for the one I already have.
The little white Hall's one cup pot was a bargin at 5.00...they had wanted $15.00....
The bowl is not a Hall's but is Noratake and I really liked it. It cost $6.00.

This is a Hall's refrigerator bowl, they were asking $2.00 but when I told her the lid was broke she gave it to me for .50 cents.

This is a nice Hall's crock bowl in the wild rose pattern, I have the 3 piece stack set to match it. I paid $6.00 for this cause the lid was missing. Still a nice usable bowl.
These are 2 McCormick Tea pots made by Hall's. ! I paid $30. for 1 and the other I paid $3.00 for.
Can you see why, one had the defuser in it and the other didn't. It is hard to find pots with the defuser still with it.
But now Let me tell you about my last find...Late the first evening we had gotten tired and decided to just skip the rest of the markets and head to Fort Payne for the night...we passed a long string of tents set up and Charles asked "do you see anything you want to stop for" and as I scanned the tables from the car window, this item cought my eye and I said "yea, I think so let me out here and I'll check it out", he did and then went to find a park.  The closer I got to the table the faster my heart beat...when I realized it was what I thought it was, my heart started to race...lol..I haven't felt that way in a while. I think I was hyperventilating...lol...because another lady was picking it up, I wanted to scream at her, "I saw that first, put it down now"...lol...she must have read my mind or could I have said it out loud...I don't think so but not sure...lol..any ways she set it down gave me a sweet smile and moved along.
I did nearly pass out when I saw $15.00 on the tag..well I didn't even try to talk the man down cause it was dirt cheap already....
Here is the item

Isn't she a beauty, it is rare to find a coffee pot with the metal drip basket still in tack, and for 15.00 ...it is in perfect condition.
This is just a few of my Flea Market finds. Will show more at a later date.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY VINTAGE THINGIES! SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!

  3. Molly,
I'm so pleased with your finds!! We're Hall People, as well, with a lot of the old Hall Green teapots and quite a few other pieces, but the McCormicks were your best buys, to me.

I have the same Eggplant Aladdin with the infuser, and have been looking for YEARS for the short, regular pot to match. I'd like to find one like this, since Sis got the real one:

  4. I'm discovering that I don't know much about coffee pots. That's the second unusual one that I've seen today on VTT.

  8. Hi Molly! Looks to me like the longest yard sale WAS a succeses for you.

I don't really know anything about Halls - - - but that little creamer, sugar, and salt shaker look like they have the Jewel T print on them. Do you know, is that Jewel T?

  16. You're not the first to say that they were a little disappointed in the longest yard sale. Several said that everything was pricey. I'm so glad for you that you found lots of your beloved Hall pieces! My Mom has several Autumn Leaf pieces, that I grew up looking at every day. I didn't care for it then, but I have a few pieces myself now! Love that water pot, and I'm glad that lady read your mind and put down that coffee pot for you! Great story!
