Today my pink is more of my Longest Yard Sale fines...I don't have a whole lot.
I always try to bring my Grands something every time I go on a trip but this time I only got things for my 3 DIL's and I did find some great buys, I know these aren't old or vintage but each one was brought with a different personality in mind cause believe me all 3 of my DILs are very special to me and are totally different in personality/
I bought this beautiful cake plate and server for my youngest...she loves to cook for her hubby and likes nice things to serve them in...she is very sweet, funny and always there with a kind word when I need it. She is a joy to call a DIL.
This next picture is of 2 of my items
my middle DIL is very straight forward and some times says things when she should just think them...lol..you know one of those that have to say "did I just say that out loud".....but I admirer her, she is a brave little lady, she met my son when he worked on the road, and she left her home and family to move 100s of miles away from everyone she knew to come to MS and marry a man with a ready made family, very big move for anyone much less a 20 yr old. I have to admit living in the deep south with our slow laid back style and way of life is a total shock to someone who was raised to be distance to people. But she has stayed 10 yrs so far...lol...We're changing her into a Southerner, We have had our ups and down but she is one of my best friends. She loves anything by Thomas Kincade so when I found this little tea pot I knew I had to get it for her...she loved it. Some times you don't know, and she will tell you if she doesn't like it.
And the the last item is for my oldest DIL, Now Lori is a sweet southern home grown country girl. She is soft spoken and easy going, I just love to see how she handles my #1 son, when he gets upset, (he does get upset about alot of nothings) she just starts laughing and before you know it he is settled down and grinning also.
She calls me everyday just to ask how we are doing. She is my best friend. She is my go to person when I need something. And her children are her life, she lost 2 before having MooMoo and Redman, and she loves things that repercent her kids so when I saw this figurine she popped into my mind...it looks like her and Moo-Moo.
I am totally blessed when it comes to DILs. I have one EX that I still try to get along with because she is Keifer's Mom. Well that is my offering for Pink Sat this week hope you enjoyed.
Molly
You find such awesome things at yard sales! I love the cake plate! Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!! Molly, what you doin' girl? where have you been?!
ReplyDeleteI love the pinks you've chosen to share with us today. They are lovely. I hope you are "in the pink" and enjoying the day.
ReplyDeleteYou really made a great find in all those nice pinks. It still amazes me what other people get rid of when others want it. Great job for Pink Day.
ReplyDeleteYou have an interesting crop of daughter-in-laws, Molly! They are lucky to have for a MIL, that's for certain! Hmmm, I wonder how they describe YOU..."She's a sweetie but don't get her riled up..." "She spoiled those sons of hers!" "She's easy-going unless you get in the way of a Hall's teapot at a yard sale, then watch out!!!"
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!
