Blue Monday

Good morning ladies, can you believe it is Monday already, (again) wasn't it just Monday 2 days ago...goodness how time just seems to fly by lately. Between running to the Dr in Jackson, then to the Dr's in McComb and going to ballgames the week just flies by.
But we all know what Monday means, it's Blue Monday over at Sally's house. .Please visit Smiling Sally by clicking here.....

If you follow my blog, you all know I have been wanting a bottle tree for awhile, and you also know I finally found one and it fell and broke my pretty blue bottles, you can read about it here
Well I was so upset, but I've never been one to give up, so I got one the phone and called my Dear DIL and she started calling her friends who really like wine...lol..and found me awhole bunch of bottles, so many in fact that I had to find another bigger tree and I found it last week end while in Richland.
Needless to say I'm one happy camper, even though my middle DIL told me she thought they were the tackiest things she'd ever seen..and I said, yes, yes they are and I love them tacky and all...lol...
I made a stand out of cement to hold this tree up and now I don't have to worry about losing all my pretty blue bottles again....
playing with a new setting I found on my camera where only the blue shows up..still need to work on it
my bigger tree I found has a little of every color on it. I am going to plant a vine around the bottom of the pole, just haven't decided what I want to plant, maybe a clematis or Jasmine.... ChiChi was keeping her distance from me, I just found the baby bird she had killed and she knew Momma was mad at her...I have an orange tree in the pot and am trying to decide where to plant it...my yard is still just a work in progress, I am constantly finding things to add or to change....
a view of my front flower bed from the right side of the house, you can see my new flower bed around the foot board of the iron bed is really starting to grow....
I maybe gone for a couple of days, I am going to the Hospital to have a scope ran Tues morning and you know that means drinking all that yummy stuff tomorrow and only drinking clear liquids...joy, joy.
Hope you all have a great day. Me and my clear broths and yucky liquids will be enjoying each others company. NOT......

  4. Molly, I love your tree! I had a makeshift bottle tree that I put tiny Vicks bottled on and loved it. It got broken in a move, and I was so distressed so I know how you feel when your original broke. But this is a great substitute!

And I love your little black dog. I had two Min Pins for years, and I loved them SO much.

Hope your procedure goes well for you and that you have a good week.

    Happy Blue Monday...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  5. I have never heard of a bottle tree until now.... and our wine comes in green bottles, so no blue bottle trees likely around here...... smile.
    Your place looks nice.

  15. Aha! I have been to THIS blog of yours before! I was just over at your art blog and left a comment. I sure hope your tests come out clear...best thing about those clear liquids would be a clear test! Back to the blues - I like way the blues do in the basic b&w for blues photo and the multiple colors bottle tree looks cool. As does your flower bed. I'd be upset with ChiChi too. But, such is nature. Take care - you and yours. ENjoyed my visit. Thanks, Jenn
