Finding Beauty Friday on Scenic Sunday

I'm linking this post to "Friday Finding Beauty" event on Claudia's blog Dipity Road. Today all the participating blogs can post whatever they like on their blog that touched them in some way and made them feel, see, or appreciate a moment of beauty in their lives.

Scenic Sunday is a photo meme of the scenery. It can be landscapes, buildings, flowers, or anything you feel is a scenery photo. This meme will be held every weekend. To join, just post your scenery shots on your blog and link back to Scenic Sunday.
Today I'd like to share a special place and a few beautiful friends, I am a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church and I love the fact that it is a small country Church. I have been a member here for 40 years and was just heart broken when we lost our old Church that was built in the late 1800's to termites and just knew I'd never get used to this new one, you can read the story here..
(Updated with picture of the old Church, group picture taken in 1984)
but I did, even though I will always miss the older Church this one is beautiful also. It's the people and not the building that really counts.
Yesterday we had our monthly Senior Breakfast and as always the same little group came...lol..we have several more folks who are over 60 but refuse to admit they are now in the Senior group. DH won't go either, not that he doesn't admit he's getting old, he just doesn't do mornings and isn't real big on socializing, (yes we are a total opposite couple.) Mr and Mrs Jimmy Smith and the Preacher Bro Wayne did all the cooking and it was a fine breakfast, we had a devotional by Bro Wayne and was entertained by Pete Stanley playing the piano. We had a very beautiful morning outside and inside.
Betty and Jimmy Smith planned and cooked our meal, they are a very sweet couple, Mr Jimmy is in very poor heath but he never gives up..
Mr Jimmy Smith and Bro. Wayne discussion the situation
Me, MS Margie Faye 76, Mrs Smith 77, Betty Smith 64, Ms. Edna Miller 89 1/2, she was our oldest mother and made sure we knew it was 1/2...lol..., and Ms Charles Burk..she's not telling...lol.our newly weds, Mr Paul and never been married and Mrs Smith was a widow when they met 3 yrs ago and married.
2 of our oldest and longest members, Mr Paul Smith and Mr. Pete Standley, they both joined Clear Branch as young teens in 1941
everyone enjoyed the food
Even my DIL who is the Church Secretary and Bro Wayne
Mr Pete plays so pretty and he goes to all the area Nursing Homes and plays for "the old folks" every Sunday.
Now to me friendships and fellowship like this is "found beauty".
And the pictures below are what we get to see every Sunday morning or any time we are blessed to attend this beautiful Country Church and when the Lord calls me home my mortal body will be laid to rest in this beautiful place.

A junkin' trip and fun with my Sis

First let me say, I've about had it with the Blogger, I am having fits trying to get pictures loaded, I have tried to make several post, but my pictures take almost all day to load and it has nothing to do with not enough space (still got plenty) or the pictures being to big, (have sized them down to the smallest size before trying to up load). I have tried both versions of the comment section and they both do the same thing. I keep getting time out error or else I have to stop the down load, click off the blog and then come back and click upload pictures and there my picture that wouldn't up load is waiting to transfer to post, but it will do only 1 at a time. Not a happy camper since I have so much to share with you. It has been a busy last week and I have gotten some great pictures and exciting stories to tell....an not so exciting...,
OK, lets give this one more try.Tues my Sister and I decided to got to the Porches Bed and Breakfast Restaurant for lunch, they have a beautiful 3 sided inside porch where you can eat and look down into the court yard. The last time we went was in Feb and the court yard looked terrible, very run down and just in need of redo...we laughing told each other that we'd be willing to redo it for free if they would let us, anything would look better than this. Well we heard they had done a lot of work on the patio and we want to eat there and check it out. Much to our dismay when we arrived they were having to turn folks away because they had received special reservations from 2 very large groups and had no room for anyone else...so we sadly said ok and headed to a small Mexican Restaurant in Wesson to eat, which has very good food also. But before we left Porches I got permission to take some pictures of the out side, and maybe next time I'll get pictures of the inside...
The front yard was just filled with several types of Hydrangea, and I didn't know there was more than one kind..you can see someone was waiting for their group sitting on that cool and welcoming front porch...
Sis went up to talk to the owner, sure wish we could have gotten in...the owner is such a sweet lady always hospitable and friendly
I'm not sure what the real name of this hydrangea, but Ms Cylia called it flat Hydrangeas

This is called a Cone Hydrangea or Oak leaf...
I really enjoyed walking around in the front yard, hopefully next time I will get pictures of the inside and the side yard where the Weddings and other receptions are held.
Tomorrow I will post about our trip to the junkin store.
Hey, got it posted and it only took 3 hrs..lol..
