Vintage Thingie Thursday

Hey Y'all, I'm just plum gitty because of this beautiful weather...Fall is on the way..hooray..
Today is Thursday and that means Vintage Thingie Thursday...and today I have a few items to show you from my Carnival Glass Collection hope you enjoy.
In this first picture is a set of glasses and a matching pitcher that I found several years ago to match the set my MIL had. Her older Granddaughter had asked for it when she passed so we gave that set to her and I found me one like it. I found them piece by piece...One of the glasses I found at a little junk store in Brookhaven and nearly fainted when I saw that someone had turned it into a candle holder...but I didn't say anything, I asked how much, they wanted 2.00 but I said how about 1.00 and she thought a few minutes then said ok...lol..it took me a week to get all of the wax out of it and all the little cuts, but I did it and think I got a good deal....Also in the picture is a covered compose bowl to match the pitcher and a gold covered dish. also in the picture is a blue cream pitcher that matches the glasses and pitcherNext is a red carnival glass dish shaped like a Santa in Sled that I found at a little Antique Shop in MO several years ago.

This is a ruffled edge round platter in Blue Carnival Glass, this one was a gift from DH several years ago.
I found these two little carnival glass trays while we where in Montana, I just love the green one the color is so different then what we see around here. The other is a pretty blue.

This is my MIL's oblong, bowl most of her carnival glass was in gold and had the grape pattern on it...., but I really like the blue better.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY VINTAGE THINGIES! SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!

  1. I'm with you, I like the blue better too! But, that said, this glassware made up in these beautiful colors just fascinates me. Especially when the light hits it just right. Beautiful. Tammy

  19. I love the little Santa dish. Next time you need to remove candle wax from glass, put the glass in the freezer for a couple of days. The wax gets brittle and just pops out.
