I've Fall "ing" and can't get up
Good morning my sweet blogging friends, sorry I haven't been around much lately, but it's Fall and I love it...it's still warmish with cool breezes blowing down here in beautiful Mississippi, so I am falling up my yard, was busy all day yesterday and was so tired, that I just fell into bed right after supper. I am headed back to the nursery today for more...
I wanted to stop by and say I am still here and will try to catch up with my friends blogs as soon as I can.
Penni, I am getting bronze, white, yellow and maroon mums. They do have lavender but just don't feel fallish to me.
I am leaving you with these pictures

The Simple Woman's Day Book
FOR TODAY
Outside my window...It is still dark, but the sun is starting to come up over the trees in the back yard…my favorite time of day…it’s 59 degrees right now but will get up to 88, all is quit, even Levi is still sleeping…
I am thinking ..what a great week-end this has been, what a joy and a gift Grandchildren are, what fun it was taking both girls shopping for clothes. Also how nice it was to see Stevie (my other granddaughter in heart, if not by blood, she is Keifer's 1/2 sister and she was 3 when she came into our lives and 12 when they divorced) yesterday and what a beautiful glow she has. I’m thinking how great it was going to be if Jackson is born on her birthday, Oct. the 31st. We always say she was our little witch…lol..how fast time flies, can’t believe she is grown and expecting her own child….
I am thankful …..that Stevie is doing so well and looking forward to the new baby’s arrival. I am thinking how great God is to give us this next generation, it’s as if he is saying, yes this world is worth continuing for awhile longer…
From the kitchen...for breakfast it’s hot coffee, home made biscuits and bacon
Supper open faced beef sandwiches, made from let over pot roast…green salad and pear salads
I am wearing…yellow T-shirt ..and blue jeans with white tennis shoes
I am going…to get my mums planted this week and rework the front flower beds.
I am creating...still working on Christmas ornies…..
I am reading...Week 6 of study on The Book of Daniel, what a great and complicated book.
I am hearing...silence ….broken by the cry of a whipper will, and a tree frog out side my window.
Around the house...dishes need washing, clothes need washing, drying and folding, and floors need a dust mop run over them….
One of my favorite things...the smell of a cool crisp fall morning…and the mournful cry of the Morning Dove….
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Monday…Go to the Nursery and buy plants for front flower bed.
Tuesday…play by ear and do a little house work….work in flower beds
Weds….Bible study we are studying the book of Daniel
Thurs…No real plans except to rest..
Fri. & Sat…paint
Sunday; Church
Here is picture thought I am sharingThese are some pictures I took of my Grand girls this week end...can you figure out which one's Daddy calls her Ellie Mae and why...lol... she's always barefooted and has animals around her......(notice the feather sticking in Levi's collar) she found it in the yard and said it was decoration for him.

Re-Run Sunday
It's time again for Sunday Favorite Re-runs, a new Meme hosted by Chari over @ happytodesign http://happytodesign.blogspot.com/ It is so much fun to go back and re-run some of my favorite post, this week I am re-running a post I did last Jan right after I started bloggin, this re-run is in honor of my sweet Kim, who we lost a year ago....
A Special Birthday for a special Girl
Today I took my Grand kids to a special birthday party. My Niece Kim passed away unexpectedly in Sept. at age 40, leaving 4 beautiful little girls. The baby girl Kylie, had her 9th birthday on the 9th, so her Dad and Nanny with the help of her Aunt Missy and Uncle Kyrk gave her & her Cousin Karter who celebrated his 2d Birthday on the 7th, a riding party, something her Mom would have loved to do. Kylie really loves horses, so what better way to celebrate the day. In this picture is Carla Beth with the pony tail, one of the daughters It was a wet rainy day and it was so muddy, but the kids didn't care, they just waded in and rode horses and in a little buggy. There were lots of kids there so they had to wait their turn. Which my little horse lover had a hard time doing..lol...she wasn't shy about trying to find ways to get to the head of the line, every chance she got....As a special treat each child was given a bandanna, red for the girls and blue for the boys also they each received a straw cowboy hat...and what made it better they were able to take them home.
Each Birthday child had a cake made by their Nanny just for them, Cater's was a farm scene with a barn and little animals he could take home and play with later. Kylie's had a cowboy rounding up Zebras...yes you read it right..Zebras.....lol..how cool was that.
But I have to say it was hard pulling the little ones away from the horses and the buggy to even sing happy Birthday and cut the cakes.
My little redheaded cowboy had a blast, he liked wondering around the catch pen and the arena, with his new friend and cousin Reese, they found the roping dummy bull and was wanting to try it out, but since it was so wet, they didn't want the kids in the Arena area, Connor did find two old horseshoes partly buried in the red clay that he dug out, now digging meant red clay stained hands, he didn't mind... but Granny wasn't to happy about all that mud headed to her car...lol...but he thought they were so neat ...and the lady told him he could keep them...he called them is lucky horse shoes and even gave his sister one....he loves to collect junk like that...(could he be taking after his Granny...hummmm)
All the kids and some older folks....*grin* really enjoyed the rides and going into the barn to see the new colt born this past Monday....
My little Morgan is an animal nut, all she talks about is being a Vet. She already has 3 dogs, Buddy, Jasper and Hank and a goat that she named Molly (can you believe that,!!!! Molly, hummm wonder if she is calling me an old goat..lol) but she is really begging for a horse and today just made her want one more. Here are some pictures I took
Connor has his turn in the buggyMorgan loves to rideMorgan got her turn in the buggy, she didn't want
to get outBirthday boy and his Daddy. Kim's baby BrotherConnor and Morgan getting their hats and scarves.Humm wonder what she just told him...no telling...lol...Carter had an accident, mud was every where... Mongan is loving it
Even their Nanny (my SIL) got in on the act. ***Grin****Connor and Morgan petting a horse in the barn, with a new friend...you can really see the love in Morgan's eyes1 week old isn't he sweet
After the party is when the fun really started..NOT.. we had so much mud on our shoes, no one had told me to wear boots, and I didn't think it would be that muddy were we would be, wrong, I ruined my best pair of comfortable slip on...:-(
I had to make the kids set on the seat with their feet out so I could remove their mud caked shoes, all the while slipping and sliding in the mud outside the car door.....for you who don't know about MS mud it is like a slipper gumbo mud that dries like concrete. The shoes weighted a ton....giggle...then I rolled their pants legs up before letting them get in. They had 10 inches of mud and water up the legs, time I got them rolled up enough that it was safe to get in, they had on shorts...gheez...and I though I was a country girl..... now....they were safe in the back seat, I had to figure out how to get my mud caked shoes off and then get them in the back on the paper that I'd put the kid's on....finally we are on our way home and the kids never stopped talking about the party, all in all it was a wonderful day and we have great memories of a fun birthday and we said a little prayer that the girls will be able to continue to move on and find peace and love in the memory of a Mom who gave life to them and we know she is watching over them..

I'm sad, hurt and disappointed Must read
Good morning my blogging buddies, I'm so sad this morning and disappointed not in you, my friends, but in myself...I have always been so open and trusting of everyone, that I didn't follow my own advice about being careful, and keeping my eyes open, I have my blog set up where anyone can post, I felt like only my friends and enemies alike...lol...would read it or post, I can take criticism no problem we all don't agree on everything.
I just couldn't believe what I saw this morning,.... I have an email sent to me when anyone comments, that way if someone has commented on a past post I will be sure and see it. I was so ...how will I say "it wondering", this morning when I received 6 emails that a disa had comment on 6 of my Blue Monday post from back in March and April, in Chinese, so I click on her/his name..to check out their blog, I was quite disturbed when I saw their blog, very dark only 4 friends and no post, So I immediately went to Google translator and translated the note,...well now I'm no innocent little grandma, but I was so shocked and pissed at what it said, someone of very low life was using my blog to post their porno site...
I immediately went to all the pages and permanently deleted the comment, but am so sad that my blog was violated in this way.
Sadly I am having to go to every post must be approved by me before it is posted. I did not want to do this or even use a code, but I can not and will not let my blog be used for this....
So to my friends I apology for this inconvientance and hope you will continue to leave comments.
And to all by dear friends who like me are too trusting and open, please be careful. There are all kinds of evil out there.

Get R Done Friday
It's time again for Get-R-Done Friday over at ClassyChassy, so be sure and go by and check out the other great projects and tell Classy thanks for hosting this for us.
This week is another get r done project I have been putting off for some time now. Let me state that I love my Children to a fault, wouldn't trade them for the world, but......some times I wish they would think before they act...lol...just joking...5 yrs ago when DH and I were on Vacation, we usually go in Oct. right around my Birthday....Bless their hearts, they decided to surprise their Dear Momma when she got home, all 3 got together and bought me a fish tank, not just a fish tank, but a very large fish tank 35 gallons. Now I love it UNTILL it is time to clean it out. Oh my, then it is an all day job, and so hard for me to handle by myself.... So it doesn't get a total clean job but every couple of years. It has really been needing a total cleaning for awhile. I let the water get low in it so it wouldn't take very long to empty.....ok, yesterday was the day I decided it was low enough....I took some pictures but the real nitty gritty work I was to busy and wet to handle the camera....
You can see how dirty the gravel is by looking at the front of the tank. One of the pumps had stopped working and it put a strain on the other pump to keep it cleaned alone...plus the heat apparently broke....not very pretty right now...nasty...
you can see how the lime build up had formed on the pumps and heater, the light and cover looked just as bad...ugh...I threw most of the grass away, it was just wore out.

You can see how suctioning the water out really got the goop stirred up, now the fun began, had to empty all the gravel out and wash it, took the tank outside and washed it out good, cleaned all the pumps, cover and light, then put it back in the room and added gravel, then came the hose through the back door and into the den,...What? you think I was going to fill it up one gallon at a time...I don't think so...lol.. Ok, everything is back in except the fish, had to let the tank climatize first for a few hours...Even the top looked better.........All my fishies were mad at me, they did't like their temp home......lol.....View of the tank, and stand my DH made to set it on...I am not crazy about the deer head, but DH won't move it....
Fish are still waiting in the blue bucket....guess what the second pump started working again...
Fish are back at home and still ticked off, so they are hiding in the corner...acting like spoiled kids....but I am not happy with the look of my tank...so I made a trip to Wally World today...
now that's better, new background and some new hiding places for my fishies....need to get more fish, so will have to make a trip to Pet Smart in Jackson..when I pick Rissa up tomorrow. She's spending the weekend with me...
close up of some of my fish and the new back ground...
Needless to say I was one tired, but proud lady when I finished this job...1 more item off my to-do list...

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's my name....
I am so excited to be here this morning, I have the neatest gift to share with y'all. I received it from a sweet and talented lady, Maria over at Personalized Sketches and Sentiments.... you really need to check her blog and her Etsy Store out. She is one talented lady....anyhow, lets back up a few weeks, I received a note from Maria telling me her Hubby had drawn my name along with 2 other ladies to receive a drawing by her and I could choose what I wanted her to draw...now this lady does the most unusual drawings. She uses your name to draw your picture. Well we all know what I choose...lol..one of my rooster paintings. I was so excited to get it that I forgot to take pictures of it when it arrived, but I did take some pictures of it when I got it framed and hung...I decided I liked the simplicity of a plain black frame with no matt...of course knowing me I might change it later....
anyhow take a look at the work of this talented lady...
I would like to tell Maria how much I love this drawing, I am going to have to order a mate for this one...lol...y'all be sure and check her work out. She has some amazing drawings...
