Today I'd like to share a few shots I made on my patio awhile back when the sun was so hot and so very bright, that every little creature was hunting a shadow or shade to protect it..
I love the shadow that this cute little table cast, the lattice work is so pretty and enjoyable to look at...we could say as my Momma used to, "it's pleasing to the eye" but not much protection from the glare of the sun...
This little water can is also pleasing to the eye and cast a little more shadow than the table......the sun was so bright that every little blade of grass or little stem from the grass seed was casting a shadow...
This shadow of me is alot larger and more solid than the other two and provides more shade from the heat and light.
I was hit by the fact that our lives are like the shadows, we can provide comfort and shade for those who are struggling in the heat and sins of the world....does your life (shadow) provide solid comfort and relief for those in need or is it like the table pleasing to the eye but empty inside or like the watering can, solid but really too small to help much at all.
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Ps 91:1

I already long for Spring, but first winter must come.
I hope you remember me telling you about my trip to Dolly Wood back in Oct. with our Senior Church Group. If you missed it you can read about it here and here .
This morning as I was sitting here going through my pictures and enjoying, reliving my trip I saw the pictures of the Church, Dolly has set up for anyone who wants to attend Church Services on Sunday morning. Suddenly this song by Dolly started playing in my head and I wanted to share the song and pictures with you.
How great that we live in a country where we can worship God anytime we want and anywhere and how sad so many people take it for granted and fail to see the hand of God in everything they see or do.
When I walked into this little Church the peace and love just over whelmed me, I had to take a minute to just sit and listen to the little creek running outside the window and think to myself "My God How Great Thou Art."
Please turn up the music and enjoy the beautiful Church for yourself..
The doors at the Church came from The Pleasant Hill Methodist Church and was originally made by the Church's trustees around 1890.
I love the stain glass window over the door...the windows in the Church were first used in Nancy Academy the first seconary school in Sevier County, and was donated by DD Butler a Sevier County farmer and Businessman
It was decorated for the Fall, but it is beautiful on it's own.
The Chapel's bell was originally used in Sevier County's Williamsburg Academy School
The pews came from the old Sevier County Courthouse..
There are 6 beautiful handmade quilts on the walls, these where made by the crafters in the community, and are replicas of stainglass windows depicting scenes from the life of Christ. This is my favorite. Though they all are beautiful.
There is a plaque on the wall with Dolly's picture explaining why this Chapel was dedicated to Dr. Thomas
This statue Know as the Good Shephard was carved by Dollywood master woodcarver Lee Warren in 1995-96. And it is truly amazing work.
on the left side of the Church this little brook runs and when you are sitting quitely and the windows are open it sounds like the soft voice of God whispering Fear not for I am with you always. Peace and love to you my Child.

Good morning ladies, Today I think I have mustered up the courage to talk about a little project that I undertook last week. Now I will say this isn't the first time I have ventured into cleaning this room, as a matter of fact I posted about cleaning it out a couple of years ago. But I have always had to use it as a paint/storeroom. Well this time I said enough is enough and agreed to store all the boxes of stuff I don't use at my MIL's old house. So now thank the good Lord it is completely and totally a paint/sewing room.
For the last year I have just opened the door and throw what ever I had to store in it and shut the door, no painting or sewing...lol..have even thought about calling Clean House or the Hoarders for help...
OK, now I have worked up the courage to show you my storeroom from hell...
Now here is the after, I'm so proud of the space and organization I can have, now that everything that doesn't belong is gone.. I have always wanted a place to put my computer in my paint room, so I can use my DVD patterns and take on line classes...
Even my ChiChi has room to join me in there when I paint or sew or what ever craft I decide to do. As soon as I clean the closet out I will store my suitcases in there. Didn't want to take them to the store building.
I love having the shelves to stack my material on, so I know what I have and can find it when I get ready for it..and all my pattern books and patterns are together in easy reach
Hope I didn't bore you to much, but I'm just so proud to have my own studio for a change...
