Project Simple Pleasures2
I'm joining Simple pleasures again over at A Collection of this and that...Click on picture above to join or check us out.
As I was pondering what Simple Pleasure to show today, I realized my life is filled with Simple Pleasures. I find I enjoy all the simple things, maybe because I am just a simple person, I enjoy what life has to offer. I enjoy the little things. I don't need a big night out on the town, or a big elaborate party with tons of people or even all the luxuries money can buy to make me happy.
All I need is a smile from my friends, a few minutes watching the birds or squirrels or simply watching my grands play and laugh...oh how wonderful the sound of a child laughing is.
Today my simple pleasure is about time spent with my Sister, I love my big Sister
Me and Dean ages 6 and 8
we have traveled the road of life together for over 67 yrs. We are not only sisters, but best Friends and have always been each other's shoulder to cry on when needed. We grew up in a small town, married home town boys and raised our families all within 10 miles of each other. It has been wonderful having her in my life constantly. Knowing if I needed her all I had to do is pick up the phone and she will be there in less than 10 mins. I am truly blessed and I know it.
My simple pleasure is going to different places with her and just enjoying each other company...
Whether it is junkin' in a small town like Clinton
or going to the Natchez Pilgrimage...
We are just happy to be together..and enjoy these simple moments.

  6. My sisters live too far away to visit very often, so we have constant (like every day) contact by phone, mobile photos, text and e-mail.
    I love electronic communications.

    God Bless

  9. What a blessing you have in each other! You've been able to share your entire lives. I've always thought it would be wonderful to have a sister, to get along, and be friends, especially as we age. I have two brothers, and they're wonderful, but it's not the same, is it?
    Such a lovely, sweet post.

  14. I'm the BIG Sis---mine's WAY younger than I, so I was kinda her Mama for a long time, and now we're BEST friends.

Isn't that a wonderful blessing? Our funnest times are just spent over endless pots of coffee, talking and laughing and reminiscing about old family memories.
