Sunday Favorite Re-runs

It's time again for Sunday Favorite Re-runs, a new Meme hosted by Chari over @ happytodesign
Since we are getting close to the Holidays and some of us will be needing some little but special gift for Friends, Teacher, Mailman, Etc; etc; I am reposting a post I did on March 25, I have used this before as a Sunday re-post, but though that right now would be a good time to redo it, incase anyone missed it...It shows how to make the little hats for the snowmen glasses that I posted last week...I posted this in March right after I posted the glass how-to. You can see those here
Making these little hats are so simple but they really dress up a lot of different things, Baseball make-do snowmen, wine glass snowmen and light bulb snowmen ornies....

You will need
a sock...any color or texture
14" narrow ribbon of your choice. I have even used twine

These are the items you will need....

Using the scissors cut just above the heel line, making sure to cut above the heel.

This is how it should look, straight

On the end that you cut, cut into the sock in little narrow strips up to the cuff line....

lay ribbon under sock at the bottom of the little slits

And tie into a bow,

Now you've made a hat, so very very simple. But it sure does dress up our little snowmen...

  1. so cute and so very clever. thank you for the instructions.

  2. Such a cute idea!! I'll have to see what I can come up with!!

  3. That baseball family is quite fun and clever!

  4. Well, how cute and easy is that!

    Have a wonderful Sunday!

  5. Love the faces that you painted on to the baseballs & glass and the little hats are so cute.
    Thanks for the tutorial.

  6. Hi Molly...

My friend, I'm so glad that you posted about how to make those darling little hats for your snow people this week for Sunday Favorites! I was sooo hoping that you would since you posted about these last week! Thank you!!!

I really do think these are just the cutest!!! And you're absolutely right about them being such nice gifts!!! Didn't you say that you could fill the glassed with goodies? Anyway, love, love, LOVE these! You're so creative and talented, my friend! You know...the little hats are just adorable...and really so easy to make after seeing your tutorial! I'm just sitting here thinking of all the things that you could make with them! You could use smaller ornaments for the snowmen and baby socks for the hats! The possibilities are endless! Or...just making the hats and putting them on top of a jar of Christmas goodies for extra embellishments! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU...for sharing this with us!!! As you can see...I really enjoyed this post!!!

Have a super Sunday, my friend!
    Warmest wishes,

  7. Ooops...just lil' ol' me again! Just wanted to tell you that I love your new header photo! So pretty, my friend!

  8. How sweet, Molly! That's my kind of easy! I know lots of friends that would love a gift like this...and those socks are so inexpensive and easy to find...I believe I saw them at the Dollar Tree.

Thanks for much for the tut!

    God bless!

  9. Thank you!
    Thank you!
I am heading out for socks and glasses!
    Love your music!

  10. So how are you? I've missed you lately.

I love your little snowmen. Did you paint those? Gosh I don't have any painting talent - I do think I can make those hats though - you get the right glass and sock, then put candy in them - it would be a cute gift.

  11. Neat, love it. But, the faces are what makes them.

Little sweet memories whispered..
