2d time around Tuesday,

It is time for 2nd Time Around Tuesday, hosted by Diane @ A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words. be sure to drop by Daine's blog and check out the other 2d time around items.........
I'm finally getting around to posting again on 2d time around.....I wanted to show you the new (old) notebook I painted for my Granddaughter Rissa. This was painted in Aug '08 and she has used it for 1 1/2 yrs. I'm sure she'll need a new one soon. She loves the special ones you can buy for 12.00 to 20.00, but her Mom said sorry no dice, we can't afford those expensive things...Keifer her older brother had 4 solid black ones that

he used in school that was in very good condition..and he only paid $1.00 each at Dirt Cheap....so everyone's head turned to Granny...ok, I know what that means...paint....so I painted her one and I thought it was so cute, I knew better than to pick a pattern without asking her...

She was a very grown up 7 year old and so very choosy about what she had on her notebook and she considered Ginger Girls, toooo babyish....so I let her pick out the picture she wanted. She couldn't pick out something simple and cartoonie (is that even a word) lol......oh no, she had to have real life....here is what she picked out and we made some old note books, new again...the 2d time around.

hope you liked my 2d time around project....

The Simple Woman's Day Book

FOR TODAY Monday
Outside my window...The sun is shining bright, a wood pecker is rapping away on the big oak outside my bedroom window, the yard is freshly cut and Day Lilies blooming. Chi-Chi is barking at our little Squirrel that come to my bedroom window every morning.

I am thinking...How happy I am to have Marissa again this week, we are going to go junkin’ one day. We didn’t get to spend much time together last week, I was so busy.

I am thankful …..to be just about through with my bathroom make-over. And that God blessed me with the ability to do it myself.

From the kitchen...for breakfast it’s hot coffee, fresh smoked bacon, homemade biscuit, with Apple Butter.. Super, fried chicken, string beans, cream corn and fried okra all out of the freezer. Corn bread, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes and sweet tea. Peach ice cream for dessert

I am wearing…navy blue lounging pants with a blue T-shirt. White fuzzy socks.

I am going…to be busy again this week, I still need a couple of more items for the bath….

I am creating...a nice comfortable, relaxing bath. Have several items I need to paint.

I am reading...Some great blogs from blogland….Studying Revelations

I am hoping...The guy who is going to lay my flooring doesn’t cancel again this week. I know he is busy and I am willing to wait.

I am hearing...a Woodpecker and Chi-Chi barking at a Squirrel, Marrisa singing to herself…..sweet sound. And DH snoring.

Around the house...Clothes need washing, floors need sweeping and beds need stripping, but it will have to wait till Tuesday.

One of my favorite things...When a plan comes together….

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Monday…Go shopping for a couple of items I need in the bathroom to finish it. Buy groceries and take Rissa out to lunch.
Tuesday…Do some house work, finish little touches in BR. Go to Connor’s Ball Game.
Weds….Go to the Hospital for my Mammogram…then will have that out of way for another 2 yrs. Keep Morgan Weds evening so she can spend the night with Marissa.
Thurs…Get my hair done, then take Rissa to Jackson for Tumbling classes Thurs. night. Spend night with Ronnie.
Fri. Keep Rissa at her house Fri. then come home Friday night, Go to Connor’s Ball Game. They are having the City Tournaments.
Sunday..go to Church and get ready for Marissa to come back down for the week.
Here is picture thought I am sharing
My little friend comes to the bed room window and then sets in the swing that is in my front yard...hummm, I think the swing needs painting again.
Hope you have a great day. don't forget to check out the other daybooks for today.
