Finding Beauty Friday

Today I am joining Claudia's "Friday Finding Beauty" event on Dipity Road.
When we were on our way to Shaker Village, in Kentucky we stopped in A small town in TN. The name was Hurricane Mills, TN. DH asked, "isn't this where Loretta Lynn has a home"? So of course I checked and sure enough it was, so early the next morning before we headed to KY. we had to take a short road trip. Loretta's home was 12 miles down the road...it was down a very long winding road and such a beautiful place, that I wanted to share some of my pictures with you...you can click on the pictures to make them larger
The Coal Miners Daughter's front entrance

Loretta's beloved giant carved Wooden Indian that stands across the river from her front door...
A replica of the coal miner's coal mine..honoring Loretta's Daddy.
Some of Loretta's horses and the large pasture where they roam free
The Anderson Cemetery that sits behind the Plantation house. Loretta bought the whole thing from the Anderson family. And agreed to take care of the cemetery for the family. We were running behind and needed to get to our Hotel in Danville or we would have toured the house and gotten more pictures of the cemetery..I will go back.
I have to say that this area, which there is so much more to it, was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have seen...lol..despite all the rumors of it being haunted.
Loretta's son was killed in a drowning accident near the old mill.
Be sure and check out all the other Finding Beauty Friday blogs.
