My post today will having you saying, Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder...you've got to be saying, she thinks this is beauty? Yes I do, this wonderful little dog brought beauty to the lives of everyone in our family. He was THE Chester, a Basset Hound and a real hound he was. He stole our hearts from the minute my Son brought him home @ 6 weeks old, to his then 1 yr old son, Redman. He was the sweetest, lovingest dog I've ever met. Our middle boy called him low ridyer, cause when he ran he looked like one of those low ridyer cars you see on TV, his front end bobbing up and down in time with his back end. He was always into something and then would look so inoccent, like who me?
This picture was taken when my Son and family returned home from a Christmas parade, so they had the camera handy to get the proof of who was really turning the dog food can over, all this time they had blamed their German Shepard, cause Chester wouldn't or couldn't do that....I love the expression on his face..and his lazy way of laying down to eat...lol..he's saying "no, no, I didn't do this, I was just protecting it from the other dogs", chewing a mouth full while talking.
We lost Chester to bone cancer 4 yrs ago, shortly after this picture was taken and we still miss him dearly, he was like the sunny light on a cloudy day. If you were down he was sure to bring a smile to your face. I can see a picture of him now and I automatically smile, just can't help it. So yes, I see beauty in this droopy faced little feller.
