Finding Beauty Friday in the Hills of TN. Cades Cove

Good morning ladies, Today I am joining Claudia's "Friday Finding Beauty" event on Dipity Road. Today all the participating blogs can post whatever they like on their blog that touched them in some way and made them feel, see, or appreciate a moment of beauty in their lives.
Beauty comes in all sizes, shapes and forms. Some you can see and touch, others you can only feel in your heart I believe you can find beauty in everything if you look hard enough.
The beauty I'd like to share this week is a trip I took with my Church Senior Group
to Gatlinburg and Cade's Cove 2 weeks ago. I have to thanks God that he gave us such a beautiful cool week to go. We left here on a Monday morning and arrived late that evening....
The first picture was taken around 6:30 AM from the balcony of our Motel room in Pigeon Forge the first morning. We spent 2 days here and then moved to Gatlinburg next to the Convention Center.

Cade's Cove Primitive Baptist Church and my Church Group

As always I have to get a shot of the Cemetery so much history here would love to know about these folks and their lives..

Cade's Coves visitors Center and homestead... this place took me back to my childhood back on the farm, the only thing we didn't have as the old mill building..lol..no streams like this in MS and not many hills but all the barns and cribs and warn wagon really took me back...

This looks just like our farm house except ours was 1 story and had red brick like siding plus tin roof..

                                                           the old grits mill.

the first thing that came to mind was "and a river ran though it"

corn crib...I hated this building on the farm..snakes loved it...

on the hill over looking the farm..amazing view...

We were entertained by a wonderful couple, everyone who was watching joined in and sang..it was amazing....

My favorite place on the farm was the hay barn and where we kept the mule tack and wagon....of course we didn't have the split rail fence, just barb wire and post.
We really enjoyed the day here and ended it at the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge for a late lunch and then returned to the motel for everyone to rest before going out for supper. I'm ashamed to say I was one of them that took a nap...lol..my face was really hurting by now.
Tomorrow our trip to Dolly Wood and meeting a legend in the area...

A common sight on the bus ride to & in Cade's Cove. I didn't get to take too many pictures from the bus because of the tinted windows..

Far cry from today - right?

Isn't Pigeon Forge where Dolly Parton was born? I'm Canadian, but I do remember driving through the hills of TN. We loved the hills.
I also love your hand painted items at the bottom of your blog. Cool pics of your family too.
Happy FFB even though it's our last one : (
