Summers last breath,

Good morning Friends I'm so glad to be back and sharing Shadow Shot Sunday with all my blogging buddies.
You can check out more of SSS at Hey Harriet by clicking here.
One day last week I was sitting on my patio taking a break from redoing my craft room, (another story to share at a later date) it was turning cool and a little overcast, I noticed a few of the summer bugs and flowers were fighting to hang onto the summer for as long as possible. Here are a few of the shots I managed to get...this moth is a little raggedy and you can tell he's had a hard life

While I was taking these pictures I notice a movement out of the corner of my eye and look what I caught trying to sneak up for a little noon day snack...needless to say he wasn't too happy with me scaring his meal away..can you see the "now look what you've done," look in his eye. LOL..I liked the soft shadow his body made on my solar light.

As I watched this little moth soaking up the last rays of sun and drops of nectar from the few remaining flowers, I couldn't help but think, how we as humans are so like these little creatures, even as our life comes to a cross roads of hard times, we can still enjoy what God has given us. The soft glow of the lasting warm rays of his love, the joy of the nectar of his peace. And he is always there to protect us, by keep our enemies at bay.
  May
you enjoy this beautiful day God has given us and know that he provides for our every need, not always our wants..but for our needs.
May you have a Blessed Day

Finishing up with the bed...

Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted by Leigh at Tales from Bloggeritaville,
I believe this belongs in Thrifty Thursday cause I saved a bundle doing the job myself...

It's Vintage Thingie Thursday over at Colorado Lady's place...don't forget to go by and tell Suzanne how much you appreciate her sponsoring it for us...
Vinatage item is the old iron bed I used for a trellis...
A few weeks ago I told y'all about buying an old iron bed that I was going to use in my yard as a trellis, you can read about it here...

I told y'all that I plan to use the head part for a cover up in front of our gas tank, well I have finally gotten around to getting it put together...actually I had to wait till the round up I used to get rid of the old wild rose and other stuff that was grown around the tank had wore off.. Tuesday Morning I got up and decided it was time..first I took up the old walk stepping stones and used a mold to pour a new walk way...
I started out by doing a lot of shovel work, had to half way level the area I wanted to pour the paves out. It was a slow go also, I only had one mold so I had to pour one let it set up for about an hour and them carefully lift it up and move it to the next area.
I finally got the three sections poured..woo, that was hot dirty work.
You can see a hint of the flower bed in the back ground, nothing done there until Weds.
Weds morning I started putting in the flower bed after cementing the bed to the ground. It isn't quite as wide as the gas tank but I plan to put an Azalea on each side...
ChiChi was enjoying the sun shine...
I put Ivy in the back of the bed to grow up on the trellis and hopefully hide the gas tank, I know when it gets bigger I will have to keep it trimmed but that's an easy job...
I loaded the bed with several different kinds plants that has purple blooms and added a few pink petunias
after mulching the bed I raked and leveled out the yard around both projects and added new grass seed.
I still need to add some border on each side of the path and am going to put some Azealias on the right side between the walk way and the pump house.
I'm thinking I might add a few more sections to the path and make it longer...we'll see.

It's Family Foto Friday again Deborah over at http://picturespotspens.blogspot.com/ is hosting Favorite Family Foto. You get to see lots of family photos, hop on over and check them out.
Last Thursday evening, Our little Tomboy..Mo-Mo, turned into a little Lady, and she just took my breath away to see the Beauty she is becoming...This is her first year to take Dance
NOW this is how we are used to seeing her... all sports and rough and tough....either playing with her dogs or her goat.......

But Thurs we were in for a treat This is the 7-8 yr olds...She is the little one in the middle on the back row in pink right in front of the tallest girl in white. She had that little hip movement going on. I wanted to get a video, but we weren't allowed to bring video cameras. She is center front on this one. They danced to Call Me and Who let the Dogs out.....

She is the 2 from the left on front row, she's got them hands on her hips and those hips rolling...lol...as her Aunt Kathy said, she had it going on, our little tomboy is growing up.

She had just introduced herself in here and of course I didn't snap fast enough.
She loved her flowers but was so proud of her medal she won. She's holding it in between her flowers.
