We had a small ice storm Friday, not as bad as we have had before but bad enough to shut everything down..the bridges and roads froze over, The Stack area of I-55 in Jackson, was turned into a large parking lot. So thankful I wasn't up there. Some folks were stuck there for over 6 hrs...I know some of you who read this will say.."so what, we have had alot worse than that"... but, Hey this is the south folks, we aren't used to this and certainly not prepared for it.
My Marco shots are of my Biddy N Hens after the ice started melting...

Hope you have a beautiful and Blessed Week-end

  1. Sorry about the unusual icestorm, I just saw on Tv what a chaos the wheather caused woldwide.
These plants in the photo, with the glowing ice pieces look like some beautiful jewellry. Fantastic photos come from where are less expected.

Now let me tell you my funny story:
Looking at your first two photos I didn't realised what they are, neither what Biddy N hens is. Instead of srolling down, I rushed to thesaurus dictionarry, what cofused me even more with the definition of "female chickens".
Just than I srolled down the page and saw your frosen plant.

    These photos are sensational.
Welcome and thanks for sharing them on Macro Flowers Saturday.

  2. You sure do have a good eye to capturing the little things that most don't think about Molly! Love your pictures! I keep forgetting to get a bag of things put together to put in my truck for just in case I get stuck on the side of the road due to the weather! I've got to do it! Everyone should you know! You just never know what we will come up against! I've sat in traffic for a few hours just because of road work a few times when we lived in Maryland. Don't want to experience that again! lol

    Have a Great Weekend!

  4. What interesting shots Molly. The ice adds a beautiful texture to your pictures.
I agree with you, you poor folks don't have the tools/machinery/and salt to deal with this mess.
Winter seems to be everywhere this year.
    Hang in, and hang on.
    Blessings back at ya!
