Oh, an atole lizard! Gosh, I remember those. Molly, did you use them as earrings as we did? Rub their tummies to "paralyze" them and then clip them onto your earlobes? They would just hang on...powerful little jaws...we'd also wear them as "brooches."
Sometimes I actually miss New Orleans!!!! We have pink geckos here...no atoles...
