Well hello y'all, It's Vintage Thingie Thursday over at Colorado Lady's place and today I have a few old items that are very special to me. The first is a set of 3 thimbles that belonged to my Mom and an old crochet pin cushion
2 of them are metal, I'm not sure what kind, but the one on the left top has a pretty green patina, the white one is a heavy plastic and the writing reads . ORLEANS INSURANCE CO. 2001 Magazine St. - RA. 4365. She has had all of these items since we lived in New Orleans over 60 yrs ago. I keep them displayed in a glassed Curio Cabinet....I just love the pretty blue trim on the pin cushion. I am sure my Granny made this, because she was always knitting or Crocheting.
In the back ground you can see DH collection of old shells...go figure, he says they are too old to shoot so he keeps them in a curio cabinet.
Next is a cup and 3 saucers that went to mine and Dean's Tea Set Jimmy and Momma got us for Christmas when I was 5 yrs old. They are very small even if they don't look it in this picture. My favorite piece is the small green saucer.
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY VINTAGE THINGIES! SEE YOU NEXT WEEK! FOR MORE WONDERFUL VINTAGE THINGIES VISIT COLORADO LADY

I started a collection of thimbles for my oldest daughter when she was a toddler and she collected all through her growing up years. We love to look at them! I guess one day they will be vintage :D
