Dump Peach Cobbler...

Mother's Day was a laid back day for me, most of the day the Internet was coming and going. Didn't get to visit too much...every time I'd get on it would go out..very aggravating. My Baby Boy had to work and didn't get to come down, but he did call and sent me the neatest gift, he knows his Mother well, he sent me a MasterCard gift Certificate that can be used anywhere. EVEN the TS...yea.
Ronnie is sick with Bronchitis and wasn't able to come down but he called and wished me A Happy Mother's Day, they are coming down next week-end so they will bring my gift then. I told him I didn't need a gift, just for him to get well, he pushes himself too much, he missed one day of work...the job he has he can work and not be around anyone else.
Chuck came by this morning and brought my gift before going to Church, I didn't get to go, I was still crouping too much. Always Weds night and next Sunday. He gave me a beautiful leather and suede large print Bible. OK, yes I need a large print one, was starting to have trouble reading my old Bible.
I slept most of the day. DH took me to my favorite Fish House last night and he fixed hot wings, a green salad and fries for lunch. Was fine with me, I didn't have to cook it. Anyhow to make a long story short I got bored and after reading a post from Livin' Louisiana! about a cup, a cup, a cup. I got to thinking about a recipe Momma tough me to make when I was 5 yrs old, it is so good and so easy. So I made one for our supper....

  1. Molly, your cobbler looks delicious, and it certainly couldn't be any easier to make.

It's supposed to be a stormy day here in Vicksburg today, but I hope your day is filled with sunshine and you feel much better.

    Sincerely,

    Janie

  2. Morning Molly,
I have been trying to send you a comment for several days, but so far today is first time I could get here,,,,mountains I guess, I couldn't believe your mother lived in Beaumont, I was born and lived all my life in Port Arthur and Nederland until I married Roy in 2001. I had a Boutique in Beaumont called the Clothes Horse on Dowlin for about 6+ years.
    Very Small World.

I can't seem to post from Sedona or get email, talk to you when I get home.

  3. I had a wonderful day. I decided not to go out and eat because I didn't want to stand in those long Mother Day lines until 4:00 waiting to get in. Sara was coming late that evening to bring my gift. So I put a stew in the crockpot the night before and invited Calvin's mom to eat with us. Sara & Patrick called right after church and wanted to pick up chicken and come eat with us.. what a wonderful surprise. Anyway, long story short, I had to do a little extra cooking to make sure I had enough. So I decided to make the Peach Cobbler! Yep, I was making the same one you made- Granny's recipe- on Mother's Day too! Thought that was interesting that we both made one.
    Love ya!
