Keifer's & Connor's first Bucks

Connor is only 11 but he has been hunting with is Dad for about 3 years, he has killed a couple of Does, but this is his first buck. I couldn't post a good picture cause he couldn't wait for his Mom to take pictures, he had to have his dad clean it for him, but as you can see in the picture he was too busy calling Keifer to tell him he'd killed a buck, to help clean it...he really enjoyed calling his older cousin and rubbing it in that he'd got the first buck...lol...I can just hear him how with that slowww southern drawl he has...Hay Keeeforrr, I just killed my buckk, haha when you gonna kill one?..Nothing like a little friendly competition between two cousins. But it wasn't long after till Keifer was able to call Connor and say I got mine too.

Keifer is 19, but now this is his first buck, but not his first deer. He has been hunting on our property out at Caseyville for the last 6 yrs and has been lucky enough to shoot a few Does. It seems there is an over abundance of them in that part of the country....lol...but the meat is still fine. Keifer's little Sister Marissa loves deer meat and although she is only 8 has been with her Dad a couple of times herself. We look forward to the day we can add a picture of her buck to this blog.

Well a couple of weeks before Christmas Keifer and his Dad got to spend a little together time, during the Christmas break. Keifer is going to Hinds and has a pretty hard subject load, plus works part time...and Ronnie has been working 12 or more hrs a day 6-7 days a week for a couple of months, so off they went to North Mississippi to a hunting camp for 4 days and this is what he came back with...not the biggest but still a nice one...
